Where'd my ZIPs go?!

All of a sudden, the option to create a new "Compressed (zipped) folder) has disappeared from my "New..." menu! As you can imagine, not good! I have Windows XP SP1, fully up to date through Windows Update. I don't have any other zip programs installed.

I would recommend uninstalling winzip and installing it again.

As for how it disappeared..did you uninstall it or delete something?

Have you got a copy of TweakUI installed ?

Try reinstalling Winzip

Edit: Gryphon: Thanks for reminding me about TweakUI. I used that to fix the problem (and get rid of a lot of the excess cr*p that appeared on the "New..." menu.) :)

That's what I would have suggested next. .. to check if you should had changed any of the settings for that with TweakUI. Good to see that it works again. :)
