Anders and myself have decided to allow suggestions for the Sardaukar2000 Harkonnen Campaign, so that the community at large can contribute more directly... We'd like between 8 and 12 missions... I hope to see some ideas :)

could you have it where there is a broken alliance? like there could have been a harkonnen civil war, and the sardaukar sided with one side, but that side lost. So the sardaukar are trying to illiminate the people they lost to, the harkonnen who won? heck maybe usher in a new era of harkonnen rule that isnt as perverse?

I have only written two so far, the reason being is I dont want to end up writing 12 and realize they arent what you are looking for.lol tell me what you think of these. I wasent sure if you wanted them on arrakis or not, so I decided another path.

Atreides abolitionists have convinced the Duke to send in an elite force to break into the slave pits

near the mines of mount ebony. Their goal is to commendeer as many slaves as possible and escort them safely to Caladan. If this occures, harkonnen economy would be crippled for years to come. We have tracked the messages from an atreides counter spy working in the slave pits. He h

has been giving detailed maps of the territory in order to help increase the efficiancy of the invasion.

Your job is to crush them before they even have the chance to reach the mines where they slaves

would currently be. Remember that you have the upper hand, you know of their coming invasion.

The Atreides have trecherously attacked without any warning or attempt to form the regular declarations that are required for these sorts of skermishes. The landsraad overlooked the incident

because of their great respect for House Atreides. We are on higher ground, because if we strike

in retaliation, the great houses could do nothing as it would be a double standard. You are charged

to destroy ten secret warehouses located on the far outskirts of Cala City. It is reported that they contain over two million metric tons of pundi rice, and would heavily damage the atreidese economy. It is time to fight fire with fire.

well if you really want to stick with dune, the most prominent ideas that come to my mind are:

fighting house atreides disguised as harkonnen

ditto but with fremen allies

fighting fedaykin to protect the emperor.

If you do training missions you should create a salusa secundus planet map and make it like a nuclear holocaust place (think that's what happened to it in the novels?)

Field test

Harkonnen scientists have developed a new and extremely potent chemical poison. To perform a field-test of the new weapon, have a groundtruck (i.e. a civilian vehicle) carrying a sample of the chemical infiltrate a nearby settlement and deposit it at the resevoir. The guard - a traitorous wretch who cracked after mere moments of seeing his family in pain amplifiers - will grant you acess to the facility. You will have control of six guards, disguised as filty locals.

Your missions objectives are as follows:

>Get the truck to the resevoir.

>No not kill any civilians.

>Be discreet.

-The map will consist of an Arrakeen village, with a small Harkonnen garrison nearby.

-You will not have control of the outpost right away. You will be able to control the truck and the six disguised guards (they will look like regular civilians). The truck is unarmed, and the mission will fail if the guards fire (or if the truck squashes anyone ;)).

-The guards must "act natural" - they cannot bunch togeher or noticably escort the truck.

-The reservoir guard did not like the treatment of his family! He has notified The Atreides/Sardaukar/whatever of our activities, and they have sent forces to stop you.

-Hostile forces will enter the village. At this point, the disguised guards become regular Harkonnen infantry, and may fire on hostiles or civilians. You have also gained command of the Harkonnen garrison, since the guards will probably be destroyed, and you'll need to make reinforcements.

Your objectives are now:

>Protect the truck at all costs.

>Destroy hostile forces.

>Kill the traitorous dog who sold you out! (That's the resevoir guard, by the way. He will be marked on the map, and will try to escape or something.)

Harkonnen workers are rebelling! They are garrisoned in a very important spice warehouse, and they threat to destroy it, if we don't accpect to their stipulations. We don't want to. We send some soldiers to do "the job". Kill all resistance, if there are big danger lost spice, destroy the air purifier so all unmasked workers will die.

I think this is a good idea, but it needs little fixing... :-

Fremen warriors has helped fremen slaves working for the harkonnens to escape. we must show the slaves that noone leaves the harkonnens.

kill every fremen and slaves in the entire area.

(didn't read through the post hope that noone has already suggested this :- )
