  1. OK my apologies to the issue of the founding fathers I did notice that the constitution ,and the bill of rights that there is no place for religion . But still this is JUST a matter of the 1st amendment right ( of free speech and press) yes this judge has put the ten commandments in place. And as an argument to this if I had made tablets out of wood and painted the ten commandments on them and went to the court house, stood there on the main steps in front of the doors for ALL to see nothing could be done. Take that away and what’s next, what I type online??
  2. Ok here I go again the first paragraph is right out of the bill of rights. And all this monument is, is a freedom of speech and press Amendment I Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. And this next story is about the motto on our money that we all hold so dear.. now if this can be on our money why not the ten Commandments in our courts? And just a note that our congress oked this on our money. Dear Sir: You are about to submit your annual report to the Congress respecting the affairs of the national finances. One fact touching our currency has hitherto been seriously overlooked. I mean the recognition of the Almighty God in some form on our coins. You are probably a Christian. What if our Republic were not shattered beyond reconstruction? Would not the antiquaries of succeeding centuries rightly reason from our past that we were a heathen nation? What I propose is that instead of the goddess of liberty we shall have next inside the 13 stars a ring inscribed with the words PERPETUAL UNION; within the ring the allseeing eye, crowned with a halo; beneath this eye the American flag, bearing in its field stars equal to the number of the States united; in the folds of the bars the words GOD, LIBERTY, LAW. This would make a beautiful coin, to which no possible citizen could object. This would relieve us from the ignominy of heathenism. This would place us openly under the Divine protection we have personally claimed. From my hearth I have felt our national shame in disowning God as not the least of our present national disasters. To you first I address a subject that must be agitated. As a result, Secretary Chase instructed James Pollock, Director of the Mint at Philadelphia, to prepare a motto, in a letter dated November 20, 1861: Dear Sir: No nation can be strong except in the strength of God, or safe except in His defense. The trust of our people in God should be declared on our national coins. You will cause a device to be prepared without unnecessary delay with a motto expressing in the fewest and tersest words possible this national recognition. It was found that the Act of Congress dated January 18, 1837, prescribed the mottoes and devices that should be placed upon the coins of the United States. This meant that the mint could make no changes without the enactment of additional legislation by the Congress. In December 1863, the Director of the Mint submitted designs for new one-cent coin, two-cent coin, and three-cent coin to Secretary Chase for approval. He proposed that upon the designs either OUR COUNTRY; OUR GOD or GOD, OUR TRUST should appear as a motto on the coins. In a letter to the Mint Director on December 9, 1863, Secretary Chase stated: I approve your mottoes, only suggesting that on that with the Washington obverse the motto should begin with the word OUR, so as to read OUR GOD AND OUR COUNTRY. And on that with the shield, it should be changed so as to read: IN GOD WE TRUST. and just remember all, that this country was build by Christians
  3. OK my last post was out of context. but one thing that is being said by all is that religion does change to conform to what society needs, but true faith does not Nor does the Bible it has stand the test of time for over six thousand years. see the problems you all seem to be facing is you keep going back to religion, but this will get you little yes Iam a Christian yes I follow Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savor no I do not put my faith in my church no I do not put my faith in any religion for this is the way of the new testament in the Bible and as for the very first question of the discussion the proof is there but you must find it for your self and if you choose not to believe Iam sorry but since you started the forum that does bring up one question ARE YOU LOOKING? if so open you hart read the Bible and let the Lord talk to you he started two thousands years ago by dying on a cross for you now it up to you to listen for him he only whispers he wont yell don't look to religion to many false ones out there that change to quickly JUST YOU,THE BIBLE AND GOD enough said .
  4. If someone throws a rock at me it will hit me. I have MATTER. I EXSIST But if you didnt see the person that threw the rock how do you know he exsist and there for how could the rock exsist?? you have no proof that someone threw it. think about it
  5. Christian, OK just to throw my two cents in, 1. what kind of proof do you want(physical , mental, or what)? 2. If I could prove it would you then believe or not? 3. Have you read the bible yet? 4. Or scientific proof? And as to the question I havent seen it, so does it exist?? That answer is easy to give Have you really seen Mars (that answer is no YOU have not been there to see it) but yet we know it exists by scientific proof. The next thing is to believe in the big bang or evaluation is just nuts do you know the odds of a the right Adams coming together at just the right moment at just the right temp. to create life is(its just laughable) and since we believe in science so much they have found that if the world was just a few miles out of it orbit one way or the other it could not sustain life.( this alone point to a creator with a plan) and the last thing Jesus 12 apostles, IF Jesus was not the son of the living god then why oh why would these 12 men die horrible deaths for there faith none denying Christ to save there own life NOT ONE. And to date no one can disprove the Bible as being the writing word of the Lord God. the nice thing thoe is that the Lord Jesus Christ will never force you to beleve in him its your choice but just to let you know even thoe you dont beleve in heaven you will see you self one day at the great white thron judgement! MY question to you is will Jesus tell his father that this one is mine or not? see you there
