I need to know which motherboard and RAM stick models are compatible with a Pentum 4 of 3Ghz or more.

I can recommend this Asus board if you want the 3Ghz 800FSB (800fsb starting from 2.4Ghz onwards). Be sure to buy 2 memory modules if you buy this board.

I also need 128 Mb video card.

Look for a GeForce 4 Ti4200, or GeForce FX FX 5200/5600..

The Nvidia cards have the best quality for low price?? The problem is that I can`t find Nvidia of 128Mb here in my country. I should ask zamboe where can I buy one of them.

Go for the Soundblaster..

for the other things, try to see if you can order it online somewhere.. Otherwise look for motherboards with the Intel 865 Chipset (MSI is also a good brand)...

Nope, one specific model of motherboard will only support one type of processor. And I doubt the 3gig will preform the same as a 2,5. They might have used a wrong took to benchmark it with or just software that doesn't use the full potential of the 3gig version.

The other things I will leave for the Doc to comment on, although I am betting on the Asus motherboard combined with a Intell P4 3gig and a nVidia GF. . ;)

About that thing of the GHz I heard that doesn`t matter if you have 3Ghz, because it will not work perfectly also on the Best MoBo. Or something like that. If it is rubish, why somebody said that. ???

Not just an ASUS motherboard, but one designed for it. Although if you have any doubts you can buy a 2.4 gig version for the same motherboard. I think that should be possbile.

Now that you mention it.. Yes there is... if you go above 2Ghz, you need at least win ME..

Procyon, that means that if you want to run Win 98, you can't go any higher then a 2ghz processor...

If you are going to buy another motherboard and CPU, with Win2K it is not required to reinstall Windows. But if you should stay with Win'98, I think that if you should start configuring it right after you booted the new system it shouldn't be needed. Although it is better to do a new install of Win'98 on a new hardware system like that.

Concerning the hardware you want to buy, I'd say ME is bad as well (although should run). XP is the far better system.

Why is better???I`ve heard that Xp don`t let copy/make CDs or read copied disc. Can I enter DOS programs like the original C&C?
