vid card problems

i reciently recieved a new computer for graduation. the first thing i did was install Emperor. it worked great i was so happy. but then i needed to switch from playing emperor to windows because my download of the patch was compleated. no big deal right? well when i went back to the game i went to try to save my game and the menu was all screwey. i couldn't read what anything was. lucky for me i knew the menu well enough that i could save my game and exit without further messing anything up. when i installed the patch and got back to playing the menu was fine and remains fine until i swith back to windows while playing. whats going on and how can i fix it?

no my game still plays. its just the words on the menu that go funny

i've had weird menu screws up once in a blue moon in Emperor. i don't think your video card is to blame.

it's much more likely that this problem occurred as a result of memory leakage: a common problem for almost everyone (heck, i am even gonna make a thread about that some day)

Have you tried closing down background programs, like virus scanner, firewall ?

k i dont knwo if everything works now, but i know when i played games and either alt+tabbed otu or got booted out by a misc. program, and went back in the colors were all weird. to fix this just alt+tab back in to it(if the game allows that) after a few tries or even one it shoudl fix it if thats the problem..
