Dekar190 Posted May 13, 2003 Share Posted May 13, 2003 Can anyone help me... Whenever I try to play Dune 2000 online... It says an upgrade for Westwood online is needed... I click upgrade then it gives me an error message saying:Register has caused an error in REGISTER.DAT... Register will now close... :(Can anybody help me?? shygirl4 Posted May 13, 2003 Share Posted May 13, 2003 Dekar190uninstall your copy of dune2000 ... then reinstall it ... this will give you a clean copy ... then using your dune cd try to conect to the on-line game you will recieve 2 updates the first one is 20 seconds long the second about 2 minits ... if it wont download ..which most of the time it wont go here http://westwood.ea.com/ go to suport and download 1.6 patch this will give you invisible trikes and a few other things , then go here http://snap.to/tu and download RC rotorz connector get the full then the patch run this everytime you play online and before you start the game . thats all you need .... you wont beable to play online unless you have 1.6 patch ... also play the game in 8 bit graphics or it will crash onlineshygirl4p.s. when you get there look me up .. and ill introduce you to your first on-line butt whoopin Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
