E3 2003

As some of You might know the annual most famous gaming festival is at our doorstep.

E3 2003

Today's Thursday the 8th of May. That means, we still gotta wait for another week and counting.

I was just wondering - what game are You anticipating the most?

I myself, as a huge LOK fan, am waiting for the revolutionary Legacy of Kain - Defiance (Soul Reaver 3) that will bring the series to a mind-killingly sweat-drippingly exciting conclusion.

That's why I'm so hyped. ;D;D;D

I think I'm gonna blow into smithereens soon. :P

Also, not being such a huge FPS fan though, I'd like to see Half-Life 2 (if they represent it) and Doom III (though they said that most probably they wont be attending this year).

So, what about You? What games are You folks eagerly waiting to be presented at E3?

hope it doesn't suck as much as part 2. a 10 hour game? what a waste of money and plus they even changed the fundamental Soul Reaver-related-Rules from Soul Reaver 1 even tho part 2 was supposed to be a direct continuation

i really liked the bosses in Soul Reaver 1 but i never got thru it because of all the asinine "jumping puzzles" combined with no way to save the game. :( shame such a great game has gone to waste with near-impossible jumping puzzles that cause you to *literally* lose 2-3 hours of gameplay work with just one failed jump or wrong step

Legacy of Kain - Defiance has high bets. :)

Yeah, I'm familiar with all the problems You presented.

But only one thing - there IS a way to save a game. The only thing is that You start from the Elder's Lair.

If You were disappointed in the previous LOK's gameplay and length (a lot of people were of course) then You have new hope in LOK-D. :)

All that is known of LOK-D at the moment.

BO-LOK was pure class, yes and pure classic. ;D

I think it's safe to say that BO2 is the worst. At least that's what the community thinks.

Anyway, got a bit carried away here. ;D :P

What about Your E3 wishes?

.

that is not "saving the game". i've played Soul Reaver 1 before and spent 4-hours getting thru a bunch of ludicrously-difficult jumping puzzles. then after those 4-hours of my real-life time invested in making that in-game progress, i miss *one* essential jump and it takes me all the way back to the start of the level and utterly wastes those 4-hours i've just spent struggling thru the jumping puzzles. the only thing "saving" does in Soul Reaver when it comes to issues like these is that it saves all the switches/blocks that you've flipped etc., but flipping switches/blocks is easy and fun - no problem at all, so who cares about saving *that*?

the point is you often can't save your *progress* --- which is all the time you invested up until when an insanely-difficult jumping puzzle goes wrong (4-hours in the above-case but i've heard of far worse).

as for E3, the only good games i know of on the horizon are Doom III and Duke Nukem. i have no interest in anything else i've ever heard about
