Ok.

I have posted tis in here because hopefully it will eventually become a good discussion on philosophy and religion.

There is a book called "The Celestine Prophecy" by a man called James Redfield.

It is a story, but it has a meaning. Kind of like a parable.

It tells of mans journey to discover 9 insights into how humanity is evolving ad changing spiritually.

It really made me think about the things that happen in my life and is written in such a way that i dont think anyone will be too offended by it, but i think people here would have some wicked opinions on it.

so here it is.. i think as many people as possible should read it, because i promise some interesting discussion will rise from it!!!

(and i think it is one of the best, most gripping and inspiring books i have ever read.)

<edit: i can actually spell, but my keyboard is broken and only half te letters appear when i type.>

isn't that based on the assumepution evolution is true?

what are the 9 insights by the way?(what is the book mostly about)

Oh boy, sneezer, stop trying with the evolution false preach. This isn't the right thread.

Chani - could you perhaps give more info on this book, or would that give too much away?

You know when you wake up in the morning and you're thinking of someone who you havent seen for years for no apparant reason and then you g get on a bus or whatever and you see them and say "oh i was thinking about you earlier" and they re like "yeah.. right" .. well you would pass that off as a coincedence, but the insights in the book would say that you should pay attention to that because it will probably have some lesson, some piece of information or change in your journey that pushes you one step closer to where you are meant to be.

It is about going with your gut instinct and following it.. and about focusing your energy (but i'm moving onto later insights here)

It's just a book, not a religion, but it contains a lot of inspiring and spiritual ideas that peple could (if they chose to) take on board.

The story itself is about man who finds himself on a journey through these coincedences in his life that takes him to Peru to find the "manuscript" on which these insights were found. He learns about them on the way. It's a brilliant story I don't want to tell you too much about it in case you ever do read it.

(I think you would find it particularly interesting Acriku.)
