Racist Captionist? "Pimp Jews!"

Today on MuchMusic I had my closed-captions on. When the girl said "Pimp Juice", the caption read "PIMPJEWS" - exactly like that!

Do you think that's a racist captionist? I bet it is. Probably a Klanswoman or something.

What do you think MuchMusic will do to this Captionist? What do you think MuchMusic *should* do to this Captionist?

Should the Jewish Community raise Hell about this? They might not have been watching when it happened but I am sure MuchMusic has records of those Captions. Maybe I need to write a letter to the Jewish Congress or something? hmmmm

seriously tho, i don't think so 'cause of this incident. also, recently on a show called "Breakfast Television" which airs on a sister station to MuchMusic called CityTv, I saw something on the same subject. MuchMusic is in the same broadcasting building as CityTv so they are basically the same company and Breakfast Television is produced entirely by CityTv.

so... on BT I saw them doing an interview about a girl who was doing the captioning that morning. They actually called New York and the woman doing the captioning was working out of New York even tho BT is a Canadian show that is specific to one exact city (most of it is about traffic blockages etc.). So MuchMusic probably outsources to American companies to do their captioning for them too on a manual basis by a real person.
