I just explained to you man that the american "revolution" wasent a true revolution. We did not overthrow a government and set up a new one. We simply broke off from a government to start our own seperately. a huge difference man.

The American revolution established the first democratic capitalist state in history! It WAS a true revolution, in the purest sense of the word.

The only real successful revolution that I can think of occured when Toussaint led slaves in Haiti against their masters. They even defended against the french under the emperor napoleon. They created their own constitution and it still survives to this day. All the other revolutions turn into an extremist anarchy. Look at south america, look at russia, look at france. They all failed because they could not control their own revolutionary supporters.

If the French revolution "failed", then why exactly is France a republic and not a monarchy? ::)

I already explained to you that the French actually had FOUR revolutions against the monarchy, and the fourth one was in fact a success.

The Russian revolution was also a success. Things only started going really bad a few years AFTERWARDS.

You know, TMA, somehow I don't think history is your best subject...

Religion and politics go hand in hand sadly. If a government is intolerant of religion, they are the enemy of religion. This is why the politics you believe in go along with the anti religious sentaments that people like lenin and marx held. If you dont believe me then look again at the french revolution. After the oppression the people had, they went waaay too far and destroyed all vestages of religion they could. they even nationalized the catholic church. a huge slam against it.

In the war between the old feudalist order and the new capitalist one, the Church decided to ally with the feudalists. FATAL MISTAKE. This resulted in capitalism adopting atheism/secularism as its core ethic system. Thus, capitalist revolutions (such as the French one) were revolutions of capitalism and its allies (atheism) against feudalism and its allies (Christianity).

Communists also took atheism as their ally, because the Church was stubborn in its disastrous alliance with feudalism.

A revolution is made by the people and the people ussually don't know sh*t about ruling a country, that's why it goes into anarchy.

If the revolution is made by trained people it's named coup.

I don't think a demacracy is that good. The combination between various types of ruling will be more stable: Roman Empire. Socially it was quite stable... We'll just have to modernize that.

Keep it on topic TMA...

Impeaching Bush allows the long process to determine whether or not to keep Bush in. No president that I know of has been impeached - Reagan almost was, but left on his own accord.
