Where is a PLAYER suppose to find out how to add these mods to the game? OR, is are the mods only for mod makers and editors...i cannot find any thread or answer to how i am suppose to, lets say add the plasma mod to my game?

Most should have readme s contained within them. For the mostpart, however, they can be installed simply by placing all the files in the emperor/data/ directory (the smaller mods anyway).

I think I might start compiling one big thread with descriptions of each of the mods. i have the mod project done. timenn double checked and there were some errors, but they are fixed now. the first release contains 47 lgt files. except besides my site, i wouldn't know where to put them on dune editing.

That would be nice, though i love the idea of modding, i mostly prefer to enjoy the work of others. I love the rampant mods for warlords3 and WBC2 and so forth, when i watched Children of dune, i dragged out my emporer game, and found this site, was exoted to see the mods, but none of the readmes tell ya what you what to do, and the "important info" thread doesnt really help, because mine has no "model" folder, and take the "house heroes mod"...is has nothing but 2 pics, and 3 folders with txt files in them, doesnt tell you where to put them, not to mention i cant understand how a mod could work with nothing but txt files, but hey i havent a clue, so if i just new where to put them i would try it. so basically alot of us players who would love to play with your mods :O just do not know where to place them, i mean do i just unload all 3 folders into the data folder?, or do the texture pictures go elsewhere. i certianly do not want to trash my install of the game, so that is why iasked for info on how to install these things...so yes, a thread or something, the ideas mentioned above, sound great for us players who would like to play these mods.
