What is the purpose of a clan?

Well used to be that it was a group of ppl that would get together and play in a tourney for points like in QM but it would pool the points together and they would fight different clans.

But as support started to end and ppl started to cheat the ladders ended up being who could multi-nick their clan to the top and then stop playing games to see if they can hold on to the top rank.

I think the clans were a great addition to the game as like with any game, but without the support to keep them clean, up and running EA did the smartest thing in shutting them down.

But on the other hand I never played that many BCM's (Battle Clan Matches) To me a clan was just a group of players that got a long and were reactively close in timezones to be on at the same time. I was in 2 or 3 clans before I found one where I was on at the same time with the other members. I would join a clan and not see any of the members for a while. So I set out looking for other clans where I knew the players where on the same time as me.

Well, i dont think Clans get ranked anymore. But it a group of people who compete against another group, and they get ranked.

Just my luck. I find a good game and it's already shot to hell in the department of support, popularity, Official FAQ and strategy. The topper is that I'm having the usual game-related obcession...

Emperor is still a fun game to play, you're wrong about the strategy part though, we have a fine strategy vault with strategy forums here on this site ;)
