Yet ANOTHER Xp Emperor Thread...

I recently got XP after they re-formatted my computer...Anyways when I was re-installing Emperor today I noticed it was installing A LOT slower then when I had it on ME, and I got this when I hit 65%, any ideas?[attachment archived by Gobalopper]

Is your CD scratched or damaged?

No not that I can see and I used the install disk as my playing disk when I had Emperor also and it worked fine...

Were you doing anything else at the time? Did you try installing again?

Tried installing about 3 times and no I wasn't doing anything else except maybe slamming my keyboard...

Do you know anyone nearby who also has a copy? Or another computer you can try installing on? Also try installing another game to see if its your CD drive.

I got another copy that I'll try, little bit optimistic bout it working though...

keep trying to install it. Ive had that problem b4 when it stopped at 98% or so, i just kept trying to reinstall and it finally did after 5 times at the most(this has happened 3-4 times).

What you could try is to copy the setup folder to your harrdrive and install it from there. Another thing you might want to try is the install fix zip file. It's posted in the EBFD & Norton 2003 thread that I made sticky in this forum.
