GhostHunter Posted February 15, 2003 Share Posted February 15, 2003 Ok thanks for the help in all my other threads everyone, things have always been fixed and I hope it'll be the same for this.When I go to shut down when I turn my comp off before I go to sleep it'll go that screen that you know its shutting down with and then back to my desktop, so I have to click shut down at least 3-5 times before it does it, and thats when I dont have any programs running at all ???, this just started happening a little while ago and I have Windows 2000, so any ideas? Cyborg Posted February 16, 2003 Share Posted February 16, 2003 My computer has the same problems sometimes.It occur when your computer is running a task and is not yet done with it. You only need to clik on shut down once, because the computer will shutdown immediately when finished with it's task.However, the "task" it is performing is often closing one of the programs that were running when you told it shut down.Make sure all big programs are shut down before you exit your computer to avoid this problem.These programs may be: Games, downloading programs like kazaa and such, mediaplayer software etc. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
