Ok I just made a new map, its a 4 player Arrakis map and it ran fine, so I wanted to edit it to finish it up by making the rock formations look better and I started doing that and building the map every once in awhile and it was going fine until I got this error when I wanted to build it the last time.

"To many movement zones, max is 225"

Any ideas?

Yeah, lots of separate rock formations. Try deleting some of the rock formations in the middle entirely, and deleting some entrances on the sides of the map, there's no need to have them that close together.

Nice picture, you stuffed the map full with rocks and infantryrock.

Putting all that on a small map will create many movement zones.

Try to replace for example 4 small rock areas by 1 big rock area, that will decrease the number of movement zones..

Just wondering: why did you put all those entrances??

Oooo no, more than 20??

Only 1 entrance is required, i always put as many entrances as there are players. So 4 would be enough on a 4 player map.

Entrances specify where to units go in case the sw are used or when you are retreating...

Now that i am thinking of it: try to delete all entrances except 4 and look what happens with the movement zones when you rebuild your map

WTF bout ready to kill someone, it worked fine with those rock formations before, so now after I deleted one and ridded the map of all but 4 entrance zones I get the same freaking error!

And dont say well delete another formation. It worked fine with those and I just deleted ONE and it didn't work..........This map is designed to be the way it is....

try removing some infantry rock... you have a lot of infantry rock on that map

you could also post a pic of the tiles

but make sure you dont' zoom out too far or you can't tell the difference between the tile colors

Well, the mapeditor program can be very annoying.

The time that i wasted because the program made up some errors that were not even there.

And than trying to find out what went wrong is more time consuming.

Each time you change your map and press the build button, the program redraws your map and colors your tiles automatically. Sadly enough sometimes it colors the tile wrong and you have to correct it manually by changing the tile yourself.
