true.. formatting does increase performance. but you can also use defragmentation. sure the increase in performance will not be as great as when you format it but it's a lot easier and saves a lot more time. And the difference ain't that great since your pc will be slow again in no time

It's just like an evil formatter to remain an evil formatter, how predictable. But, this is big, But, if I had a CD writer, I would be an evil formatter to, but until then, I can't keep my setups and files safe, so I can't format. I don't even have the windows XP disc anymore.
