Nyarlathotep Posted August 31, 2001 Author Posted August 31, 2001 Messahya, did you try and play with just the new memory stick ? This way you would know if the new memo stick would be broken or not...Nyar...
Guest MESSAHYA Posted August 31, 2001 Posted August 31, 2001 I have tried removing the xtra 128ram, the game worked but it is choppy, I was able to play 1 game at 256 ram, it was great but the other times it froze, there has to be an other way to fix this without having to remove ram all the time.
Guest bizmaster Posted August 31, 2001 Posted August 31, 2001 Guess What?I removed my recently installed 265 meg pc133 ram simm (leaving me with 2 128 meg sims) and I cannot seem to recreate my crash problem! It might be to early to tell, since I have thought I have fixed my issues a hald dozen times, but I played an entire Ordos Mission with every option maxed out and no crash!I even turned on FSAA and no crash!I think the problem could have been running 512k memory on an ASUS CUSL board with only a 250 watt power supplyWhay Dune was the only game that cared is another issue, but i will gladly trade this simm for PC stability-Don Biz
Guest krank Posted September 1, 2001 Posted September 1, 2001 Well it looks like I can eliminate the Live! card to be the cause of my "throw-back-to-desktop-at-mission-5-of-every-game-problem" cos I'm using Audigy and its still having the same problem.
Guest bizmaster Posted September 1, 2001 Posted September 1, 2001 It must have been too much memory. I have now played 4 missions with everything maxed and no lockup
Gobalopper Posted September 1, 2001 Posted September 1, 2001 Or bad memory, try putting in the ones you removed...
Nyarlathotep Posted September 2, 2001 Author Posted September 2, 2001 Ok. make sure you read the summary of suggestions on page 14. Nyar...
Nyarlathotep Posted September 2, 2001 Author Posted September 2, 2001 Once the game is installed, it'll place an Icon on your desktop. Right click on it, and select proporties. Behind what's already in there (where it say's "target"), place the options(s) I've posted previously.Nyar....

Nyarlathotep Posted September 2, 2001 Author Posted September 2, 2001 Nlis, I see you've got two videocards in your system (one onboard ?). To make sure the game runs on the 16mb one, put the following option(s) behind the shortcut:1) -altvid2) -cTry them seperatly and together.Another thing, try to put your desktop res to 1024x768 the game in 800x600 (putting your desktop in 800x600 might help as well).Make sure all your background progs are shutdown, except for "Systray" and "Explorer". When you start the game, do it with the lowest game graphics.Make sure you also report your prob to WW tech support !Let us know if these suggestions change anything.Nyar...
Nyarlathotep Posted September 2, 2001 Author Posted September 2, 2001 bizmaster, try to do what Gobalopper suggested. I'm also running 512mb ram on a Asus CUSL motherboard and it works fine. Try with just the one new memory stick you've bought and see if the game crashes (or your comp boots up at all).Nyar...[This message has been edited by Nyarlathotep (edited 09-02-2001).]

Guest spinoza Posted September 4, 2001 Posted September 4, 2001 I did not have a problem until V1.08. Now, whenever I attempt to move an ornithopter anywhere it results in instant lock-up. Is there a way to go back to V1.07?Celeron 600, 64MB ram, Voodoo3 (16MB)
