sure you can add all kinds of garbage into a gene. that doesn't make it information. It makes it a jumbled mess. YOu need to show evidence of such mutations giving their hosts new information (not turning on an existing gene) that was beneficial.

and the evidence is.....???

Do you have any knowledge of biology? You sound like a grownup with no highschool, and is asking for evidence for everything because he didn't learn about it in high school.

you need to present the evidence of an increase in CSI. information is not the same as adding some chemicals to a gene (which is all the nucleotides are).

cut with the letter diagrams and start citing actual lab cases of such random mutations causing additions of information that were not harmful

I was giving you an example, if you cannot understand it by showing you an example, then what can I do? Get a GED atleast :P

you gave an example of a mutation. you equated that to new information. Before you can do so, you need to demonstrate the lab results that showed that such a mutation was condusive to beneficial life, which you haven't done.

EDIT: Ok sorry conducive is what you meant I assume.

Step by step now. What is your definition of a gene?

no we are not playing this game. I am not going to go through this gene=string of nucleotides garbage.

what you need to do is show a mutation...not theoretical, but one that happend historically in a lab, where new information was added, and that this information, which did not previously exist, was beneficial to the organism and subsequently passed to its offspring who retained the new information.

Ok my attempt to get to the bottom of this misunderstanding has failed...Perhaps we should continue our arguments on these misunderstandings? No wait, let's add more misunderstandings! Oh joy I get tingly when we add more misunderstandings.

Before I can do that, if it is possible I haven't read it fully, we must find out if we are talking about the same things, and if we each understand enough to when I explain something, you would understand, instead of playing "give me evidence this and that"
