Here is a small mod for infantry war fans. It is based on the PC game "The Thing" by Black Label Games.

The idea came to me while playing the game. As I was unloading my machine gun on a little monster I thought "hey this looks very much like a leech".

It's not a mod that you 're going to play for a long time but it's fun.

Bugs? Perhaps you mean the Atreides units and barracks that you get by playing with starting units or pre-built?

This is stg I forgot to mention in the Readme. So don't play with pre-built cos you 'll get the Atr barracks, or starting units cos you 'll get Atreides units.

Other than that I didn't find any other bugs. I admit I didn't test it much, so I 'd appreciate it if you reported other bugs you find.

ok

the things have firing difficulties, and when they do fire they sometimes contaminate a unit so that they become joined and cant move (ie half of the contaminated unit is throught the contaminating unit). The upgrading units is wrong, you get an enormous thing without upgrading and need to upgrade to get a large thing. The shotgun infantry are expensive but build lightning fast, that couldve been deliberate, I dont know. There is the little matter of the infantry saying stuff like "for house harkonnen" etc but I suppose that doesnt really matter. Thats all I can remember for now.

The first problem, I 'm afraid haven't experienced it. I 'm going to play the mod a lot and see what happens.

The upgrading is wrong, but the rest aren't real problems (the shotgunner's build time is an attempt to balance the mod, as for the stuff that units say I thought it was better to let units shout than mute them)
