My game hates me!

Hello all,

I spent 3 hours last night reading through lots of posts trying to figure this out but never got an answer, so I will ask. I installed Emp on my laptop and it works great. I install it on the desktop and no dice. It installs fine, but when it is finished it doesn't ask me if i want to play, return, go to web, it just goes to the desktop. If I try to run the game, the splash screen comes up for 2 or 3 seconds and goes away... and that's it. It doesn't lock the puter or anything, it just won't start. I've tried all of the suggestions that you guys have given for similar problems, (drivers, resolution, reinstall (6 times), patching) but nothing changes.

Does any one have some divine inspiration??

Have you tried reinstalling it?

All I can suggest now is to make sure you've got all your drivers updated. Next to that, you might want to try the install fix from Westwood: ftp.westwood.com/pub/emperor/update/EMPENGINSTFIX10.ZIP
