is space just a vacuum?

Ok, let's step beyond the point if light is or is not matter. We all agree it is something that can be present or not right ? If it has mass or hasn't, light can be or can not bo at a certain place in a given time.

What I ment with light in a vacuum ie. space is nothing more then that. When there is light in space, there is something there. No clue what it probably really is, but there is something there. And that makes it to me no vacuum. Unless with a vaccuum t=you mean just simply "airless". Then I go way to deep.
