Multiple resolutions on XP Pro

Nyar,

I am having a difficulty in my home. Most of the family wants the monitor set at 1024x768, but i like it best at 1280x1024, well, we all have different XP usernames, but the change in resolution in one changes all of them. :( Any way to make it so there are two?

I doubt you can, as it's a hardware setting. If I find a way, I'll be sure to let you know.

can't the hardware adjust itself to the operating system? Like when it starts up, that it knows that it has to go to 1024x768 display mode?

Otherwise Khan, i just suggest that you put the screenresolution to 1280x1024 when you start up, and back to 1024x768 when you shut down. In that case, you family won't bother you with things like "PUT THAT RESOLUTION BACK TO NORMAL!"

heh, im frodo. but thank you, i solved the problem, i just have a shortcut on my keyboard to change it now, so when i am done, i just hit ctrl shift 1 and it goes back. :)

crap, i used the wrong glasses. I was like 83.43% sure that it said Khan. Ah well, lack of sleep and Exams on school don't go together very well.

perhaps you and khan have the same avatar? Dunno, perhaps you 2 look like each other? Or same writing style? Or perhaps you come from the same country.. There must be a connection there ^-^
