I created a new emperor map by means of the mapeditor

The map is finished and during the building process

no errors were reported

Like always i played the map in single skirmish mode to test it

In the beginning all looked normal but after a period of 10 to 15 min of play it is impossible for me and my 7 computer players to place the newly constructed buildings on the map.

Even after i continued the game and destroyed some of the ai buildings...

Any suggestions how to fix this problem or what could cause this problem?

Try playing a game with 7 AI on hard mode. If you get the same problem, then it's normal. I think Emperor has a hidden limit on how many units/structures can be on the map at any one time. I've experienced a similar problem myself, when I couldn't place any more buildings, or build any more units. Try killing an AI player completely, then see what happens.

I killed 1 AI player on hard mode but still no effect.... impossible to place a new building on the map

It was never possible to finish the game as after 20 min of gameplay the game freezes

In that case, kill 2 or more AI players and see what happens. Keep it on hard mode. If you still get the same problem, turn the graphics as low as you can get them, and kill 4 AI players or keep killing AI players until you can place more structures.

Thanks for the advice, i managed to finish the game in easy mode and i could place a few buildings on the map after i killed 1 AI in hard mode. The problem is that those AI are building too many walls.

Obviously there is a building limit...
