Red faction error

I want to play Red faction, but there is an error :'(

What happens when you reboot ?

Do you use any cheats or mods ? If so, remove them and try again.

i used to have red faction but some one stole it from me :'( anyway just re install direct x 8.0 or install direct x 8.1 (better) and thats it ::)

I dont using mods and cheats, i reinstalled it for three times and its still wrong :'(

When I reboot, its normal, windows starts, red faction cant run...

Weird, the only thing I could find about this error, was when one used a mod or cheats. I'll investigate further for you..

In Warcraft 3 is that error too >:( :'(

In war III too ? have you reinstalled your video card drivers (and sound drivers) ?

Some time ago, I had older drivers and it was working ???

Does this effect any other programs besides the two games? Otherwise it may not just be the drivers it might be something you downloaded with a virus or something like that in the interval.
