"The Authors Project"

Essentially, the Authors Project is based on a scifi universe set

some time in our future. The theme is man against technology, or more

specifically, against the machine. Several science fiction concepts gave

birth to this project, foremost being the writings of Frank Herbert, and

various films such as The Matrix, Terminator, Star Wars, Blade Runner and

yes, even Star Trek.

Currently, we are looking for imaginative artists, writers, linguists,

and graphic designers interested in assisting in the construction

process of the story universe itself. We have a foundation laid,

however, it is our sincere hope to expand upon it until it is so

intensive and broad-ranging, the authors and readers will lose

themselves in the environments. Such is the basis of good

science fiction and great works of literature. We will be working

with the added benefit of modern multimedia to enhance the

stories and sharpen the overall experience.

This initial movement, Phase I, is the nuts and bolts of the story

universe, so very necessary in the overall quality of the final

movements. And like a classic symphony, we expect the final product

to be inspirational and worthy of the price we will be charging readers

to download the online books and related materials.

In Phase II, we will be searching for advertisers to promote the site.

During this phase, we will, as a community, begin writing

the initial, opening book of the story, hoping to have sufficient momentum

and enough prolific authors involved to construct intricate and enthralling

stories in speedy fashion. The larger, more imaginative and brilliant the

writing community we have, the easier the project will become.

Phase III, will mark the finish of the final product - the first book.

By then we should all have a good feel for how the system works, what bugs

need to be ironed out, what aspects require fine-tuning, etc.

Phase IV: At this phase will come the most complicated procedures:

Legalities, business and tax information, acquiring the necessary licenses,

and providing an e-bookstore for public purchase of the project's products.

If you are interested in aiding in the creation process of this massive

project, please send information to this email address regarding your

specific talents and how you feel they would be beneficial, include the

following information:

If you are interested in writing in the project, also include a sample of

your scifi writing, at least 10 paragraphs in length.

If you are interested in graphic design, include an address where a sample

of your artwork can be seen. Verification is required so you must have

your email address and signature included with the art in question.

If you are interested in the linguist portion, include a sample of a

"language" you have personally-designed.

If you are interested in the advertisement section, indicate it in your

email and give at least one online example of how you have successfully

advertised a product.

If you are interested in the business portion, indicate your business

prowess and list at least two examples online.

If you are a webdesigner interested in adding your talents, submit a resume

of sites you have designed to this email address.

Thanks,

>From the Authors Project Team
