We got someone over the french DG's board who is a big fan of Scol, the language developped by Cryo Networks, and with wich was made DG....

According to him and a retranscription of a chat made with Sylvain HUET, creator of Scol, he would release the Scol language open source... Wich would mean that, if he actually do that, anybody could learn it, form a community of developpers and take back DG.

Ok, it may be a big Utopia, still...

You could paste that URL into Babelfish to read about that news.... Still, I may translate it monday night if you all don't want to see a bad translation by babelfish :)

well, the only real hope is that since it's on bankrupcy, they ( employee) are not forced to follow the rules of copyrighting and all... :)

It should be interesting to see what happens... But whoever takes over the project would definitely have their work cut out for them. Especially with the server requirements once the game actually IS completeld.

well it might be smart of WW to take up the project & then ditch the crappy E&B and just make it DG. There are already referances to Dune in E&B or at least thats what it seems to me ;D
