In Dune Heretics BG ploted to destroy all worms that were parts of the Devided God, because their future was locked in those everdreaming parts of his awarenes.

How is this possible? Is it Magic of some sort? :-

Its simple. well actually not really. But those sandtrout that were "leto II" eventually seperated from his body after the fall from the bridge. They turned into worms and had apart of his consciousness. thats my opinion at least.

Yes, what TMA said. The new worms came from the Sandtrout that tore themselves from LetoII. These sandtrout each carried with them a portion of his conciousness/memory.

Well, once you understand how prescience works (controlling the part of the mind that deals with temporal position), it's fairly easy. I think.
