Gobalopper Posted August 11, 1998 Share Posted August 11, 1998 Here is question #4, this one is for everybody who are still wondering the role the Seige Tank will play in the game.According the official Dune 2000 webpage, the Siege Tank is "...very effective against infantry and unarmored vehicles but fairly slow, and very weak against heavily armored targets." Does this mean that the Siege Tank is going to behave like heavy armoured artillery, rather than a heavy tank as in Dune 2?Kind of. The Seige Tank is for tearing into structures and troops, not so much against armor. They also have a nice long range like artillery.If you have taken a look at the Gamestar movie you can see a shot of the Seige Tank firing, it looks almost like an artillery as it arcs it shot throught the air.
