* Congrats go out to Scipiov, who was the second winner in the Emperor Ladder Contest! A GeForce2 MX card will be heading his way shortly.

* Starting August 31st, we will begin releasing two new maps for Emperor on the website every two weeks. Be sure to swing over to the site to pick them up! Some of them will be Arrakis maps, others will be on the other

homeworlds -- Caladan, Draconis IV and Geidi Prime.

* The new 1.08 patch is out and people behind firewalls across the country are rejoicing as they play Emperor online. Also included with the map were two new maps, Isles of Caladan and Execution Ground. The patch will

be up on the FTP server by tomorrow for those players who do not play online.

* The most recent Westwood Vs. The World had a few hitches in getting started, but once the ball was rolling, many games were played and we both won and lost several hard-fought battles. Congrats go out to the winners:

* The Sneaky Tactics contest is still running, as is the Emperor Ladder contest. In the Emperor Ladder contest, we've already given away two GeForce 2 MX cards and have two more to give away. We're also still taking submissions for the Sneaky Tactics contests, so refine your tactic and email the whole thing to the contest address and you could win some cool prizes.
