Another site i visit (IM if you want a url) is constantly talking about WU servers, and the concept is really kool

What i wanted to know is: is there any (even remote) chance that EBFD will be able to get on a WU site? I could be wrong but from what i've seen noone intends to put EBFD on the WU servers

Is this something like what bnetd did? I'm guessing its possible since WOL is just a glorified IRC client that launches games.

Yeah, i think on your main page you call it WWU instead of WU. Anyways, it's basically a fan driven server(s) that host games made by WW

The kool thing i've seen lately, is that westwoodexposed along with other sites are spearheading the effort to make these servers completely cheat free. All hacks, all cheats, and any bugs that can be patched will be taken care of. Thats probably why it's taking so long to make the servers; but, it's worth it isn't it??

Anyways, i was just wondering if anyone was spearheading getting ebfd on these servers, i notice in your main page that the WWU site you list don't include ebfd, so thats why i'm asking

Like you said, it wouldn't be hard since their just servers used to launch games between users. I was thinking that if i mentioned it maybe an ambitous mod(s) here would contact some people and see whats entailed

Westwood Underground(WWU) is just a website, not a server for games.

I doubt they could make the servers cheat free though, unless they ban people for cheating or completely rewrite the code. Have they got it working yet for any game?

jeese, i guess i shoulda looked harder before starting this topic cause i got it completely wrong about WWUAllright, here's the delio. WU = westwood underworld. Westwood Underworld is a IRCD servers (pretty sure it's IRCD, correct me if wrong) set up by people at WW fan sites such as www.plantecnc.com (unless i got it wrong, there's like 4 CNC sites) and www.westwoodexposed.com, and a couple others i can't remember ( i think www.tibsun.com).Anyways, they are expecting to be up in the next couple of weeks, and they "potentially" can host ANY ww game. Their big attraction in making WU is that the servers are supposed to be cheat free since the server creators have made patches and certain code changes to make bugs and cheats go away. Thats why i asked about mod's being willing to work on getting EBFD on there since the mods know most the bugs an chit. Hey TFSKiller, thanks again for trying to ruin another of my threads, appreciate it.Gob, the link TFS posted is to a brute force name hack program that WSE published to prove that ALL ww's games can have names stolen. The people at WSE DID NOT include the dict.txt file with the program, which makes the program COMPLETELY USELESS and NON functional, unless you create a dict.txt file. Again, i will point out that NO program at WSE can be used to cheat on EBFD as the program is published. If you choose to use one of WSE's (members only) published programs as a template and make a trainer out of it, thats not WSE's fault.I could go through every program WSE has and show why it isn't useable for EBFD, or not useable AT ALL, and i could post several links proving it through messages given by the sites admin, but i won't in the interest of KEEPING MY THREAD ON TOPIC!!As to whether the WU servers need your cd keys in order to let you play on the server, i have no idea. You'd have to ask them

The Nick hack program works fine,it only misses a list of pw's actually.

Gold members of their site get the pw list, so that site actually decides who is able to hack others pw's and who is not.

I also would like to remind you of their forum which teaches you on how to make your own password list. Actually not difficult to sit down and make a list of 8-digit pw's or write a simple proggie creating it for you.

I hope Bilbo isn't reading this forum anymore, otherwise he knows now where to get a nick hack programm, then he will probably lead with 5 clans the ladder, and who knows if he decides to "play" tournament ladder also??

Will you stop informing people for cheats and hacks? Even if you are 'helping them out so they know about it' stop telling them how! You are only making it worse.

I really hate stubborn people. You can all thank TFS for getting this thread locked cause i dont' want to have to babysit it so that i can keep him from deviating from the topic. ::)Once again his info is wrong, once again he continues to embarrass himself. WSE does NOT have gold members. WSE does NOT post ANY program for special members, nor does it have a link to parts of programs that make other unusable programs work. And if anyone doubts my information just message the sites admin, he makes himself readily available to stop rumors about his site before they start, and he answers all IM's timely. ;)What WSE does have that emflames the uneducated like TFS is two or three year inactive programs published on their web. What prompted the publishing of the programs was people denying that there were cheats and hacks used on ww games. No matter how many times the sites admin took SS's or actually used a program to show someone, there was still an overwhelming amount of people that wanted to see a program on their desktop before believing. So they published them. TO my knowledge the only program that works unedited is a trainer for RA2, which is two years old.Let me further say that the admin at WSE sent ALL the programs he found to WW, descriptions of how they worked, and solutions for fixing them, and in some cases actual instructions for eliminating the use of said programs. And as you would guess WW did nothing, and for those of you that think his emails just fell on deaf delete bins, he also posts the email replies he got from ww people saying thank you for the help and promising to take care of the situation. ::)Let me reiterate that NONE of the programs published on WSE work for Emperor Battle for Dune. :)Of course none of this has to do with my topic. Thank TFS for deviating from that. I did not wish him to misinform people about a site that i enjoy so thats the reason i replied.But back to topic!!!! If anyone would like to try and benifit WW gamers by helping to make a cheat free server for Emperor Battle For Dune please let me know, i can forward you to the right people and get the ball rolling towards a dream that ww gamers have had for years. :)

Got some more info on the WU servers. Evidently there going to have patches that stop bugs and cheats. In addition they will have a way of detecting memory changes made by trainers, and if they detect a change your booted off the server. As far as i know it's like 20 people that are doing it altogether

But they are making a site, so as soon as i get a url i'll post it and an email for someone to contact if any mods here want to try to get EBFD on the servers.
