When i try to change the unit-weapon sound in any of the XBFs and I load the game up half way thru the loading screen it says "missing texture in the XBF" and crashes

It isnt because of the file name size so what could it be?

what directory do you have the xbf in? Did you cahnge the texture file names? Whenever i put in the wron texture and it does not exist, the game still loads and the thing with the texture shows up green and purple.
