Dezertfish
when I face the ordos/atreides in single player and they have a palace, I have found a way to make the superweapon they use to be a joke. Against the Ordos I simply build about 15 cheap light infantry/chem troopers and place them in a group out in th e middle of nowhere. I then have nothing to fear from chaos lightning as the AI will attack these cheap units I could care less about instead of my more valuable units or my structures. If my opponent is Atreides then I just build a lot of light inf/chem and put them in a fence on the outskirts of my base. I can have assurance that they are not running anywhere. IxianMace
The AI doesn't always target the same cluster of units over and over again, but I have used that strategy and found that it is quite effective. 8) Even better, I don't even use real units, I just project lots of units, combinations of expensive and cheap units of all sorts and put them all in one bunch together somewhere safe. It's very satisfying when you hear the warning and then see the weapon strike the projections. ;D
Dezertfish
very good idea! :Dfree is cheaper than $50 each ;)I never thought of that, thanks, then I can project something with alot of splash damage so that not one insane unit will survive. emprworm
in my experience the AI is already a weak player, even at hard difficulty its only so-so.
Dezertfish
I am still a new player, mostly I got tired of seeing my ornithopters/gunships run away>:( and my devastators/sonics/minos sack my own base :O
