Now who might take his place if this is true?

I would guess it would be Biden but there's nothing to worry about here. He's a natural born US citizen.

If Obama were elected President that would be true.

I was thinking before the election.  I would guess it would be Clinton.

ACORN investigations are now active in 21 states.

There are 4 ACORN members in jail in Washington state with another one on the run.

Another interesting comment:

Only one out of 4 kids graduate from high school in Chicago.

It seems Socialism isn't working very well in the Chicago schools or maybe

it is working correctly if the purpose is to dumb down the next generation of kids.

Ray:

To the best of my knowledge, Obama was not a card carrying member of ACORN, nor was he ever hired by them as an employee.  Therefore, the statement is true.

Obama was a lawyer for ACORN, and he was contracted to conduct training for ACORN.  Therefore, the statement is false.

It all depends on your definition of "is," or in this case, your definition of an employee.  ACORN's definition is legally correct.

There is no doubt that ACORN has done many good things during its nearly 40 years of existence.  There is also no denying that it was instrumental in lobbying for subprime loans for people who did not otherwise qualify for a home loan, which contributed to the meltdown of the banking industry.  There is also no denying that ACORN is heavily involved in voter registration fraud.

Gwizz:

We know Obama's father was not a U.S. citizen.  Unless someone can prove that his mother was not a U.S. citizen (highly doubtful), then Obama is a U.S. citizen by birth.  It doesn't matter whether he was born in Hawaii, Kenya, or on the moon.  U.S. law grants citizenship to children born to a U.S. parent (anywhere in the universe), or in the U.S.  This is a frivioulous lawsuit.

To become a citizen, I agree.  But to become president, does not one of the conditions say that he had to be born on US or US territory soil?

Posted

I've read so much on this, something keeps ringing wrong here.

Using this site:    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_nationality_law

Since Obama will not release his birth Certificate to a reputable site.  The site where it was released (where Obama had worked in the past) it was called a forgery by a forensic expert.

And, if it is true that Obama was not born in Hawaii but did become a nationalized citizen:

Quotes:

Eligibility for public office

A person who becomes a U.S. citizen through naturalization is not considered a natural-born citizen. Consequently, naturalized U.S. citizens are not eligible to become President of the United States or Vice President of the United States.

the phrase "natural born Citizen" is not defined anywhere in the Constitution itself and its interpretation has never been the subject of a U.S. Supreme Court ruling. Thus, some argue that even those born abroad to US citizens are not eligible to ascend to the Presidency, since an act of the United States Congress such as the Naturalization Act may not overrule the Constitution (see "" as presidential naturally born citizen qualification). Thus far, presidential candidates George W. Romney (born in Mexico), and Barry Goldwater and John McCain (born in U.S. territories), were never seriously challenged on the basis of their "natural-born" citizenship, but no candidate falling under this classification has ever actually become President, and therefore the question must be regarded as not having been finally decided.

For persons born on or after November 14, 1986, a person is a U.S. citizen if all of the following are true:[4]

One of the person's parents was a U.S. citizen when the person in question was born;

The citizen parent lived at least 5 years in the United States before his or her child's birth; and

At least 2 of these 5 years in the United States were after the citizen parent's 14th birthday.

(I believe she was short on these)

A person's record of birth abroad, if registered with a U.S. consulate or embassy, is proof of his or her citizenship. Such a person may also apply for a passport or a Certificate of Citizenship to have a record of his or her citizenship. Such documentation is often useful to prove citizenship in lieu of the availability of an American birth certificate.  (So why doesn't Obama provide this information.  Something is fishy)

Different rules apply for persons born abroad to one U.S. citizen before November 14, 1986. United States law on this subject changed multiple times throughout the twentieth century, and the law as it existed at the time of the individual's birth controls.

I don't know the date of Obama's birth to check further.

Title 8, Section 1401 of the US Code covers this information. The second link is from "Section 1401" in the first link.

A key point also in both of your links.

Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is an alien and as long as the other parent is a citizen of the U.S. who lived in the U.S. for at least five years.

I read that Obama mother after her 14 birthday didn't fulfill the 5 year requirement.

This is a mute point if Obama can prove he was born in the US and not first born in Kenya.

Kenya has now frozen all records of Obama in Kenya. I hope someone made a copy of that Kenya birth certificate that had Obama's full name on it.

My fear is if Obama becomes president and it is found he was first born in Kenya, than Obama's Vice President becomes president.  That would be almost as bad as Obama being president.

Is it true that Obama is 47?

His birthday would be about 1961.

Now to find the birth right law for that date.

I read he has a team of lawyers fighting his birth certificate lawsuit.  They are trying to stop or block the lawsuit.

It would seem if he was really born in Hawaii than the investigation could prove he does qualify to be president.

So, why is Obama trying to bury the records?

So, why is Obama trying to bury the records?

Because he doesn't want anyone to know that his middle name is really Harry. :)

EDIT: deleted stray comma.

Ray - I guess you missed that comedic interlude Oama and McCain had the other night. In it, Obama jokingly said his middle name was Steve.  ;D

ROB,

I quess you have already read about the change purposed for the 401 retirement plan by the democrats.  You are retiring just in time.

The plan will removed the tax benefit, make everyone pay into it, place it in the Social Security Dept. where the government has found is easy to remove funds in the past, etc. etc. etc.

A woman from some kind of socialistic programs study group that is putting the plan together, was interview this morning on how the plan will work.  One statement she made jumped out at me.

She said it will spread out the wealth.

I guess the responciable people that plan and save for their future will help pay for the retirement of those that don't.

Maybe the Democrates will reimburse me for the 25% of my salary I've been putting in my 401(k).  That's money I haven't had to spend on fancy cars and big screen TVs and other nice to have things.  Instead, like a stupid fool, I've been saving for my old age.  Dumb me.

You can have all that's left after they get done robbing from it to give to the poor. Just hope it isn't over $250K.  ::)

A little tongue in cheek.

Looking For Work:

An Israeli doctor says:

'Medicine in my country is so advanced that we can take a kidney out of one man, put it in another, and have him looking for work in six weeks.'

A German doctor says:

"That is nothing; we can take a lung out of one person, put it in another, and have him looking for work in four  weeks."

A Russian doctor says:

'In my country, medicine is so advanced that we can take half a heart out of one person, put it in another, and have them both looking for work in two weeks.'

An ILLINOIS doctor, not to be outdone, says:

'You guys are way behind, we recently took a man with no brains out of ILLINOIS,  put him in the White House for THREE MONTHS, and now half the WORLD is looking for work.

Received this as part of an e-mail

"Charles Krauthammer speaking  to the Center for the American Experiment.  Krauthammer is a brilliant intellectual, seasoned & articulate. He is forthright and careful in his analysis, and never resorts to emotions or personal insults. He is NOT a fear monger nor an extremist in his comments and views. He is a fiscal conservative, and has a Pulitzer prize for writing. He is a frequent contributor to Fox News and writes weekly for the Washington Post. The entire room was held spellbound during his talk. I have shared this with many of you and several have asked me to summarize his comments, as we are living in uncharted waters economically and internationally. Even 2 Dems at my table agreed with everything he said!  If you feel like forwarding this to those who are open minded and have not

Thanks Hawk.

It is strange though that Mr. Krauthammer would say that he would never make those comments, many that had been in the news about Obama.

I didn't read all of Mr. Krauthammer's views in his 6 articles.  But for what I did read his views seemed to be nearly the same as reported by the person making the shortened commentary of Mr. Krauthammer's speech.

The post did say Mr. Krauthammer remarks were summarized.

Maybe permission to summarize was not given.   Politicians can be very fussy when quoted about what they say in private meetings.

Or maybe the Acorn Gang threatened him for what was reported he had said.

Hummmm?

I have to agree with Gwizz.

Krauthammer may not have written the note posted earlier by Gwizz, but he has certainly expressed all of these sentiments during his appearances on Fox and the op-eds I have read.
