Update for Charge

More terrain is low priority, as it would not effect gameplay much.

Terrain certainly affected game play a lot in Dune II. It limited the base-building capacity (forcing to use MCVs as means of expansion should the player run out of buildable rock), and different terrain affected unit performance (wheeled vehicles would slow down on rough terrain, while tanks actually moved faster on rock and dunes).

I think you have not played Charge.

Base building in Charge is limited to range 20 from Construction Yard.

You and the AI will build 1 or 2 MCV's.

Each vehicle in Charge has 3 speeds:

- speed on sand (for example speed 2)

- speed on slab/road (for example speed 3)

- speed on spice (for example speed 1)

Changes for today:

- number of AI players changed from always 1 AI player to optional 0,1,2 or 3 AI players

    - team mode now possible: play against several AI players and/or be allied with one

    - spectator mode now possible: watch 2 or 3 AI players fight each other

    - solo mode now possible: build your base without AI interference

    - removed option to set player starting credits: all players start with 3200 credits

    - removed option to disable initial shroud: all players start with map fully shrouded

- your vehicles no longer decide to drive away to a far away fight

- MCV is now a tech level 1 vehicle

- removed a bug in which the AI mass produced MCV's
