Try a daily of 10.04, maybe they got hardware part correct. If not I'm sure there are others like you with bug reports and probably workarounds. I wouldn't use it for real desktop though since in developement, but would be nice to know if your wireless will be supported in next version.

What's your wireless hardware and what was it complaining about? Was there a couple closed source drivers to choose from?

It's a dell wireless card. I've tried a couple of similar fixes but nothing seems to work. I don't think it's a simple driver issue as the card won't even power up.
