You liked what they did to Fenring's character?!

You, sir, are dead to me.

I was attempting to find something positive to say about the Prelude trilogy. Fenring's ruthlessness did not concern me. The fact that Shaddam at times seemed like a figure head for him did concern me.

In comparison to the way the authors handled the larger characters, Count Fenring's depiction is hardly the low point of the Prelude trilogy.

I had to say something positive, didn't I?

So I would assume from all of these reviews that we have another prequel that does not live up the glorious past work of Frank Herbert. Does this mean that the Butlerian Jihad novel will also follow in the same footsteps?
