I thought about this after seeing a teaser picture somewhere on the web hinting at the possibilities of AoE IV and V.The first AoE game followed through from the Stone Age to the Iron Age. The second AoE game was set in the Middle Ages. The third AoE game ended at the Imperial Age, roughly around the 1850s. Here is my guess for the game empire timeline of the fourth edition:Imperial Age (Franco-Prussian War) -> World War I -> World War II -> Cold War Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Khan Posted December 5, 2006 Share Posted December 5, 2006 AoE 3 is set around colonial times it would seem that setting it around revolutionary times (french/american) Would seem to make sense. Going apart to the cold war seems a pretty big jump however, I think ended around (or, more likely, slightly before) the first World War is more probable.
