Awesome 3 vs 3 and a 4 vs 4 Last Night

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who came out last night... it was awesome!

Last night had numerous 3 vs 3's

Gun(hark) + Jeff(hark) + Leo(ordos or hark)  vs  Brick(hark) + Newlords(hark) + Pearl(ordos) (sometimes herm(hark))

And a sweet 4 vs 4

Gun(hark) + Pearl(ordos) + Leo(ordos) + Sarbukar(atr)   vs Brick(hark) + Newlords(atr) + Spazelord(ordos) + Jeff(hark)

I just have to say these games were pretty sweet.  The 3 vs 3's took atleast an hour or more.... and felt like a real war in that constant tactics and communications were being relayed the entire time.  I had forgotten how fun it is to play with people that communicate  ;D

One of the funniest communications was:

Leo:  Gun, lets double brick's invading army

Gun:  Ok , but hurry Herm is going flank!

Jeff:  Ok i distracted herm's army and bought you guys time.... go for it!

Gun: Send all you got Leo !

Gun: ok brick's down, turn around and go for herm!

Jeff: Gun!...... New & Herm are attacking me where's my support?

Gun:  I'm Coming Down there now!, but i'm exposed up top... Leo better cover my ass! [against bricks's second wave].

Leo: I'm on it!, Calm down pussycat!  ;D

Guns: Meow!  ;D

Was loads of fun.  Last night made me remember why i have played this game for over 6 years.  ;)

Its days like that that remind you, if anyone needed reminding, why this is the best RTS available for XP.

The enjoyment level can be out of the world at times.

Has anyone ever considered doing VoIP for emp ? I have always been curious, especially after BF2 where it can be used extensively.

i have tried voice chat on emperor before... but it didnt help much.  You would think it would be cool and it is.....except for one problem.  When using Teamspeak , people tend to do idle chatter about non-important events which tends to get distracting.  I use to use it with a few emp buddies in  the past but it became so distracting that i found myself chatting too much and not paying attention to the game and falling behind in production.  So i went back to text chat.  Altho if its possible for you to be disciplined and not chat idly then it would have course be superior to chat.

But obviously you wouldnt want to be on voice chat with some people.... like youko.   

Youko:  "Gums ! come what for save base mine !!"

Guns: huh?

Youko: "FOr save what base come mine, Gums !"

Guns: huh?

Youko:  "Mine for come save what base"

Guns: wtf?

Youko: "save for base mine what come!"

Guns: wtf r u saying?

Youko: "for dead me is."

Guns: i hate u.

Youko: "rematch to be is i am do win time for next."
