I thought Ryan3k sounded familiar from WOL so i did some searching... and it seems he does have an account here.... the exact name  "Ryan3k"

If you check his profile on the other forums his title is "Manual Maker" or something like that.

You'll see he was talking about writing manuals here. He also gives a link to his forum as well.

So it seems Ryan is familiar with Dune2k and the game .... as his posts were in 2004 and i am sure he was forum lurking before then.

So , my point is that he is well aware of dune2k as a source for Emperor tactics, information, and alternative servers.  Not sure if he has visited us recently, but he was aware of dune2k and our community... just wondering why he didnt bring his friends over here to these forums and over to RA1024 server and share in the fun earlier with us.

So, he knows who we are, where we are, and is no stranger to us.  Therefore, he may know more about the game than people were originally giving him credit for.  The guy is a veteran just like the rest of us..... he just left us and never came back  :-  Hopefully we'll have more fun now that some of his buds are joining us on RA1024 server.  And it'll be cool if he rejoins us as well.  Just a little surprised that he would only attempt to schedule games on his own forum and not with us as well, seeing as how he knows we are the main dune gaming community.  I'm sure he wouldnt have avoided us on purpose....  He probably just forgot about us.

They did seem to think no one else played this game. So I guess he assumed that we had stopped, or as you say, he forgot about us !

Maybe he left when we were going through one of our "blips" with regards to player numbers ?
