veK
get "streamripper" if you listen to a radio stream and want to record it.some radio streams want to protect the music though and build in some small "countermeasures" into their streams, the ripper then e.g. can't detect the right start and end position of a track (if you have enabled this in the ripper options and don't record nonstop without a break). but just see for yourself, the program is easy to use. veK
take a look at the streamripper settings. you should be able to get mp3 with the kpbs you wish. just check the options, it must be somewhere (can't take a look myself now, cause I don't have it installed)
thesnake
well..you are rong about that one.. there is nothing in the stramripper ontions that sets the format of the output file ..
veK
I remember setting it to mp3 in 192k quality and sometimes in 128k quality according to the stream.but maybe you're just able to select the quality but not the format of the output file. it then records the output file in the format the stream is sending you, which is in your case aac
