Guest twinz Posted January 17, 2001 Share Posted January 17, 2001 Hey, it's the infamous twinz here. We just got Dune 2000 a few days ago, and we're ready to play with the big dogs online. The official site said something about WChat, which wasn't on their download list as advertised. And we can't get into the "Dune 2000 Lobby" in the LAN games, and starting our own game is dumb if nobody else knows it's there. Is there a Gamespy or something to locate servers, or do you really need that WCchat thing? We'd appreciate any answer. Gobalopper Posted January 17, 2001 Share Posted January 17, 2001 You can use the built in WW-Online interface and that is probably the best option for finding people as nearly everyone uses it. Kali and probably a few other services should work but I don't know how many people use them for playing Dune 2000.Are you trying to play Dune 2000 online using the LAN mode? Gobalopper Posted January 19, 2001 Share Posted January 19, 2001 It is built into the game a button shows up saying Internet or something similiar. Click that once you get an account from Westwood.You can play over the LAN with one CD but if you want to play over the net you will need to have a CD in each computer.
