I never put any real trust in Wikipedia (though I have comitted the sin of sometimes looking up an entry when I wanted to know something quickly) because there's a legion of self serving assholes out there that will edit in their own opinions and distortions of reality. But this really takes the cake:

I read about this last week, very interesting how people will edit information about themselves to make it look better. But this was not the only government official getting people to edit their entries, many IPs are coming from government buildings.

I think wikipedia is a lot more valuable than people take it for.

I use it mainly for fun, and when I do use it (especially when reading about emotionally heated topics such as religion and politics) I usually read all of the threads posted around the article to get a good feeling of why it was written the way it was and what people are doing with the information posted.

It is largely biased though, obviously because individuals write and edit these threads. Anything involving Christianity or Islam is biased to an extreme. Notice as well how islam is so ardantly defended. Christian atrocities are mentioned so much more tahn those committed by Muslims during the european dark ages and beyond.
