Try to turn off sound and EMS memory usage from the setup menu.

Or you may try to use DOS Box, a good DOS emulator. Works perfectly with Dune 2 ;D

erm, dosbox does create very odd images in game sometimes. And also messes up my computer. In short, it works, but it does not like my new keyboard, mouse, sound card, etc etc. Besides that, if you have some old computer parts laying somewhere, i'd say grab them and relive the old times.

That's very odd. You probably should send a bug report to the developers. Cuz I don't experience any problems with Dos Box, except it sometimes crashes while starting. But that's all.

Btw, when using alt-tab, dos-box just quits on me! :(

This is certainly NOT the way DOS Box should work. Perhaps you'd send them a detailed description of your system configuration?

i tried Arrakis with Dosbox, did not work ;) Other games i made with DQB and such did work, but very slow..

i assume dosbox should not do such things no, but i did not take time to look further on this behaviour of the program. (neither i care for the moment). I'd rather work on d2tm right now ;)
