I thought of creating a scenario here; and i wonder your thoughts and replies. This thread could go anywhere, but keep it on topic.

Here is a theory how we got on earth:

- "we" are brought/grown by "aliens".

How:

Some million lightyears away from here, a planet with an entire civilization is undergoing enormous trouble. In order to survive, they send out multiple ships with lifeform(s) to planets they can reach and find in order to have a chance at keeping the spiecies alive.

Since Humans are not proven to be 'apes'; there is a chance that we got here by some other source. In order to make sure that the humans do not kill each other and end the civilization; they (aliens) have thought of a book/bible/religion in order to make humans aware of certain moral aspects. To bind people, keep them together, and for as long as possible alive. Now thousand years later, more religions are formed (but, based on this first introduced religion (**)). Though religion is still part of our lives, we have learned to survive and are uncertain where we are from, and how we got here. Evolution is a theory, so is God in a way.

Do note: the "Aliens" are humans, but not from this planet (not born on this planet).

(**) Though i am not that well informed, i do know that all religions do have a bases from one singular religion that existed 5000 years BC.

It might also explain certain oddities, like, how pyramides in Egypt somehow alligned perfectly with some stars and such. Perhaps in those days, the "Aliens" got on this planet, managed to survive for some time, and we are their offspring; though we do not have the technology (yet) we do have the brains, or the capacity. (some day).

Since i believe there are no borders (only in your mind) , i even think this is a possible scenario.

Btw: do not pin-point me on facts; its a thought, nothing more ;)

Uhh... sounds like System Shock 2 - an AI creates a new type of "aliens" that develops in amazing speed within 30 years - and naturally becomes the enemy of the game.

Anyways - I don't think aliens are behind us. Why? Because our DNA are like the ones of other species here on earth. I'm not saying we're exactly - but we share the same strains up to, what is it, 90 percent?

Besides, humans are not the only species aware of themselves (have a perspective of "I") - monkeys and dolphins have too (they know they exist - unlike cats, dogs and every other animal discovered so far, who follow a kind of "programming").

If we were created by other aliens for some purpose, then we would not have found evolutionary strains and biological likeness within ourselves - well, unless aliens didn't create everything on this planet - but then, why would they do that?

Some million lightyears away from here, a planet with an entire civilization is undergoing enormous trouble. In order to survive, they send out multiple ships with lifeform(s) to planets they can reach and find in order to have a chance at keeping the spiecies alive.

Okay, let's say that we didn't have anything biological to do with this planet, then there is still flaws with your theory. First, they undergo somekind of trouble - and if it is war then I doubt they would put every recourse to send away ships to other planets, instead of using that technology in the war.

Now, you yourself said these aliens lived millions of lightyears away. Imagine if you had a glass with a diameter of 1 centimeter. Then you take a chopper and elevate one kilometer up in the air. In your hand you have seeds of somekind of fruit - sunflower seeds, for example. Now - your mission is to get at least one of the seeds into the glass. That's near impossible.

Exactly the same with sending out ships. First, it is required some kind of controlled machine - and extremely well made machine if the biological contains are going to survive and get from the ship down on the planet - let alone the imense technology required to keep the lifeforms alive, to scan the planet in order to know the lifeforms will survive there - and every other scan required (how long the sun will "live", can they coexist with eventual planetary lifeforms) and so on. Not only that - the ships must be extremely reliable, so that they don't miscalculate or crash on another planet.

I believe you get my meanin. A project, aimed at making the species survive on other worlds, is a huge project. The technology involved must be hugely advanced, very reliable, and extremely coordinated. Otherwise, it would be like trying to get one sunflower seed into the glass from 1000 meters above it.

So, let's assume they have this very advanced, reliable and precise technology. Why not go themselves and colonize another planet instead?

Though i am not that well informed, i do know that all religions do have a bases from one singular religion that existed 5000 years BC.

Uhh, I'm not aware of "one great religion" that exactly all people followed 5000 BC. I am aware that many people shared the same "thinking" in pre-great religious times, like shamanism, natural spirits and natural forces.

Can't reply a lot now, but about the pyramid: At that time, the top of the building was 100% accurate with the star above it at a certain moment of time (night). For that time (assuming only humans made it, with the primitive tools they had at that time...) it is VERY UNLIKELY that man made that pyramid..

Also, when i mean trouble, i mean like a sun is going into nova. A good reason to colonize and get the heck out of there asap i guess ;)

The plotline of Stargate comes to mind...

It's very possible, but I can't get around the improbability of it introduced by Edrico of aliens existing elsewhere. In the billions of years for the universe to have been formed, for a civilization to survive in our time is just too high of odds to consider. But my childlike imagination lives on :)
