lowzeewee
I just installed MSN Messenger version 7.5, the latest one, and when it ran after installation was completed, I didn't even get to the pre-signing in start screen before a popup came up saying "MSN Messenger has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." There's are two options - One for 'Send Error Report' and the other for 'Don't Send'.I went to the MSN Messenger 7.5 help page but couldn't find any solutions pertaining to my problem, so I have decided to turn to you gentlemen. The data the error report contained were:AppName: msnmsgr.exeAppVer: 7.5.311.0ModName: msnmsgr.exeModVer: 7.5.311.0Offset: 00117fddI've attached the technical information of the error report in a file that should be uploaded with this post. Thanks.[attachment archived by Gobalopper]
lowzeewee
Apparently, there is a problem with the font/language of the .txt file I uploaded though I have no idea what the hell is going on. I uploaded the text onto a .html file on my website for proper viewing.http://lowzeewee.bravehost.com/error_report.html
gryphon
try to go to your configurations menu, software and remove all messenger stuff you find there. Don't forget the one in Windows components. Then download it again and reinstall it.
lowzeewee
I did all that and now it cannot open because there is no VP.dll. I reinstalled but there still is no VP.dll. I can't find a place where I can download that .dll file. Help!
gryphon
Uninstall an application called InfoPen, then go to start - msconfig and with the startup tab (last one) uncheck InfoPen.You should be able to install messenger again after that. :)
