Hello guys, yesterday my computer get infected by 3 cool web search engine who get install in Internet Explorer (sorry about the name but I can't remember), either Ad-Aware and my Norton Internet Security 2005 cannot get rip of them.

I honestly don't know who said that (it might of been you), but I scan everyday for spyware with it and I've NEVER gotten Firefox as spyware. Plus I have all the plug-in's imaginable, and a skin for it.

I retract my above statement.

Did some research and appears that it never did happen (although I could have swore seeing it after I did my scan). Although I still think it is a resource hog that tries to integrate with everything.

Adaware works just fine for me :)

dub, the more information you provide, the better we can help you :)

As I did a google search for 3 cool web search engine and it didn't seem to turn anything up.

You should start using Firefox to help prevent that sort of thing from happening.

EDIT - Although a google search for cool web search engine provided me with the information I needed.

Well if your going that route then what I do and does make that alot easier is do your clean install, then Image your HDD. That way it will only take a few minutes to do an Image restore and resort back to the clean install.  I know XP has the restore program but if infected, the XP restored files can get screwed as well. Drive Image rules.  :)
