I emailed Chris Rubyor, the online community manager of Westwood, and asked him a question. Here it is:

Hello.

I work in the Dune community of the Internet and wondered if you know

anything about the next Dune game or when Westwood was going to announce

any.

Speculation has aroused as to a new game- WW registering Dune3000.com and

other rumors.

ANSWER: Nah! We just like to register domains to throw people off. ;)

Hmmm.....I dunno, regestering domains like that just to throw people off is not really smart.

I doubt they would register a domain just to throw us off, first it costs lottsa money and second, it makes no sense to throw us off, yeah look at us! we are not making a new dune game but we made a domain anyway!

That is sooo unlike Chris Rubior. Next time he should make up a better excuse! WW has no reason to throw us off by raising our hopes in vain. Quite the contrary.
