this sounds bad "virus problems?"

Well I just got online and my computer is already slow, I know I probably have some virus'. I am trying to get a free anti virus program because i cant afford to purchase one. anyways as soon as I got online command prompt opened up (you know it looks like dos, and uses dos prompt) and a bunch of commands happened, and then it exited.

what the hell does that mean? lol it does not sound good at all.

McAfee has a free online scanner. (lower left).

As far as I know, it doesnt repair (or does it ? I vaguely remember trying it and Symantec's one and it found them and then looked at me all blank  ???). I have always used Trend Antivirus's online scanner which also cleans all infections.

if it's just your internet connection which was slower around that time, it could be the internet itself. Level3 [ in short a part of the internet backbone ] had some troubles before the weekend which effected the US East coast ...

just for your info. If you are not using a virus scanner on the internet or visit susspicious sites a lot without adequate protection against it you are asking for a viri....
