Anyone like their music?

I think they are pretty good, songs get stuck in your head pretty easily.

Seen them in April and again for Canada Day celebrations.

You can listen to some of their songs at:

http://www.thetrewsmusic.com/ at the top left thingy.

Woot! The Trews are playing at my university on September 9th! $10 bucks for a great time :)

Also the Jimmy Swift Band is pretty good act that I see often.

They play some good messed up music with beats.

Any other university/local type of bands that play around your area where you live? Any you would recommend? Any coming to PEI? :P

Hm, no lyrics listend on their page... Sad, because I think lyrics are very important part of music.

When I heard Tired of waiting I thought they sucked, but Fire up ahead was luckily a lot better, energitic song. Rest of their songs weren't that bad but only few of them were above average. Confessions was lovely and horrible at the same time.

I would say that they sound like a mix beetween early 60s rock(abilly) and modern pop, but the bad way. On some songs the music plays louder than the singing, which is also very bad. The singing should be above the music, not below.

However, they deserve their place on my massive playlist.  :P

But they are great live!

The first time I saw them, 1/2 way through performance they all go off for a beer while the drummer stayed on for 10 minutes by himslf drumming an incredible beat that got the crowd going crazy, then the other band members came back on and played the song.

Every Inambition is a good song along with Not ready to go and Confessions

Know any good local bands?

I saw Pilate live last Saturday. They were good. I didn't know who they were, but I had heard a couple of their songs on the radio.

Their music can be considered similiar to Coldplay's.

A good song is into your hideout

This upcoming halloween pub features Dirty Deeds, an ACDC tribute band. They played here last year too. Good time!

I guess say what recent concerts you have been to.
