Joss Whedon and Dune

I'm watching Objects in Space with the commentary on and Joss once again references Frank Herbert.

What did Whedon do for Alien Resurrection?  Jean-Pierre Jeunet directed that (used two actors from my favourite movie, City of Lost Children:  Ron Perlman and Dominic Pinon).

Anyway, Brad Dourif, who was a spectacular Piter in Lynch's Dune, portrays Dr. Gediman very well in this movie.

He wrote the early script, although future re-writes and the changes by the director really butchered it, he claims.

Ah, I see.  I just checked IMDB and saw this as well.  I thought Resurrection was quite well-done as far as directing goes, despite the fact that the storyline was incredibly dumb.

The alien queen at the end, as well as the 'new' alien looked really bad. Besides I really liked the original alien and then they went and spoiled it.

Alec Newman has now been cast to play an ancient demon on a future episode of Angle.  Does this mean Julie Cox will be appearing on an episode as well?  We know that the two of them often appear in each other projects becasue,well you know, they're marrieed.  Or at least thats what some fan sites say.  Never actually found anything official about that.

That's not really a Dune reference, so much as it is a biblical one, I would think.
